Marine Schirru BSc.Ost(Hons) DPO

After starting her studies in Osteopathy in Lyon, Marine graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (UK) seeking a more global vision of the practice of osteopathy. Since graduating, she completed a diploma in paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, a clinical programme which involved treating children of all ages, pregnant women and postpartum mothers. She continues to support the work of the charity as a volunteer osteopath in their Hoxton clinic.

Marine is passionate about supporting patients through all stages of life and within their family environment. She has an interest in the mental health of patients of all ages, exploring the impact of stress/ anxiety/ depression and burn out on the body.

While working in Ireland for three years, Marine created strengthening programmes for young athletes to improve performance and prevent injuries. She uses a variety of techniques based on individual patient needs including cranial, visceral, joint and soft tissue/muscle release.

Outside of work, Marine is an adventurer at heart, having travelled solo to 21 countries and pursued 10 different sports and is especially interested in weight lifting. She also enjoys reading about self-development and mental health in her free time.

Marine has relocated from Ireland to work at Nunhead Osteopathy Practice. She is a native French speaker and is fluent in Spanish.
