Emma Hayward MOst DPO
Emma moved to London in 2004, from her native Australia and later trained at the British School of Osteopathy graduating with distinction. She was also awarded the school’s prestigious silver medal for academic and clinical excellence. During her time as an undergraduate, she worked in both the children’s clinic and expectant mothers clinics, deepening her interest and experience working with woman and children.
Once qualified, Emma went on to do further training in paediatrics at the Osteopathic Centre for Children and completed a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy with the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, the UK’s most comprehensive postgraduate paediatric training. Emma has also gone on to do post graduate training in cranial osteopathy with the Sutherland Cranial College and visceral techniques with the Barral Institute.
Prior to becoming an osteopath, Emma trained as clinical pilates teacher with the Australian Pilates Method Association and often combines her osteopathic treatment with pilates rehabilitative exercises for the patient to practice at home.
She is a mother of two herself and especially enjoys working with pre and postnatal woman and in woman’s health. She is also a trained breastfeeding peer supporter and works alongside lactation consultants as an osteopath, to support breastfeeding and feeding mechanics.
